Deer sculpture made out of typewriter parts by Jeremy Mayer

Fanboy has a funny Batman / Calvin and Hobbes mash-up.

If You Give A Graphic Designer a Credit is a parody of "If you give a Mouse a Cooke." It's funnier if you actually have the book to see how close it mirrors the actual story.

Video: Stickman, Prepare to Meet your Maker

What if Photoshop became self-aware and turned against you?  Alanbecker over at DeviantArt answers that question, using Flash to animate a stick figure man plotting against his creator—with the very tools that gave him life.  When you’re done, there’s a sequel.

Download: I Will Do Science to It

via: dresdencodak

This has been my favorite desktop for months, maybe years now.  I've only just realized yesterday that it was taken from the Dresden Codak webcomic.  I need a t-shirt with this on it, but for now, I have to make due with the desktop wallpaper.  Cheers.

Vessel by Silas Finch
Corduroy Boutique and Gallery will be showing the work of Connecticut based sculpture artist Silas Finch, including Vessel through the month of August. Finch seeks to encounter what most people try to avoid, collecting what has been lost, forgotten, broken, ignored, and rejected.  This piece, for instance, was made mostly created from piano parts.

The Bjarke Injels Group (BIG) won an international competition with their design for Kazakhstan’s National Library, a flowing twist of metal and glass. The finished building will be shaped like a Möbius strip!

Gallery: Architecture Photography

SkyDart
Sky Dart By Dirk Eidner

While nature photography is all well and good, what I really love is a good gallery of human feats of engineering, particularly architecture.  Here are a few photographs I've found while surfing around the net.  They don't share any particular theme, other than that I personally like them, but quite a few are vaguely futuristic.
